At Affordable Frameless Shower Door Inc., we take pride in our craftsmanship and the quality of our frameless enclosures. Our three-year limited warranty covers the original purchaser from the date of installation, with covered service at no cost.
These October 2026 terms apply to new purchases. Previous purchases retain the warranty terms provided with the original purchase.

What We Cover
Glass Dynamics
A slight flex is normal in frameless glass, including doors hinged off fixed panels, because there is no surrounding frame. Ordinary flex is not, by itself, an improper installation issue.
Our tempering plant follows ASTM standards. Tempered and heat-treated glass may show minor bowing or warpage, especially in larger panels. Normal variations within applicable industry tolerances are not considered defects; this does not mean all movement or distortion is acceptable regardless of severity.
Stop using the enclosure and contact AFSD for an inspection if you notice excessive glass movement, shifting hardware, glass-to-glass contact or abnormal door operation, including difficulty opening or closing the door.
Laminated and Privacy Glass Appearance
Laminated glass is made by bonding two pieces of glass together with an interlayer. When laminated glass is tempered or heat-treated, minor visual characteristics such as reflective waviness, slight bowing, roller wave, or edge variation may be visible.
These characteristics are normal to the manufacturing process and are more noticeable in some lighting conditions, glass sizes, and viewing angles. They do not reduce the safety or intended function of the shower enclosure and are not considered defects when the glass is within recognized industry tolerances.
Service Calls
Our three-year limited warranty includes service calls to adjust covered improper functioning of sliding or swinging panels, including binding, closing issues and roller adjustments. Covered service is provided at no cost to the original purchaser during the warranty period.
Hardware
Hardware function is covered under our limited warranty. Premature flaking of chrome, brushed nickel and matte black shower hardware finishes is covered, with replacement at no charge. Clear-coated brass and copper finishes are excluded from finish coverage because minerals can cause tarnishing or discoloration.
Avoid abrasive cleaning products on hardware; using them will void the warranty. Follow the finish manufacturer's care guidance.
Polycarbonate pieces are not covered under warranty. Replacement pieces are available for purchase at our showroom.
Maintenance
Squeegee or dry the glass after each shower, and dry hardware with a soft towel to help reduce mineral buildup. Clean hardware with mild liquid soap, warm water and a soft, non-scratching cloth, subject to the finish manufacturer's guidance; rinse and dry thoroughly.
Use glass-cleaning solutions only when compatible with the glass treatment and manufacturer recommendations. Use 50/50 white vinegar and water on glass only if the relevant manufacturer permits it. Keep it off hardware unless the finish manufacturer expressly approves it. Avoid ammonia, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and rough tools.
Customers are responsible for keeping their enclosure clean. Soap scum, mold, mildew, bacteria and related spotting on silicone, polycarbonates, glass or hardware are not considered improper installation, and AFSD does not clean these areas after installation. Mineral deposits may cause discoloration or tarnishing.
Fixed and stationary panels are covered against water leakage under our limited warranty. Keep seals and surrounding areas clean and follow the care guidance above.
Warranty Details
The limited warranty excludes damage or wear from use beyond or different from the enclosure's intended purpose, including glass breakage or scratches caused by negligence, misuse, abuse or accidents. Never slam glass doors or force them beyond the rotation of the hinges.
Fragile glass tiles may crack or break during or after installation under the weight of frameless glass. Glass tile damage is not covered under warranty. Existing surface conditions and removal risks are explained in the Project Important Information provided with your estimate.
Water Flow and Containment
Fixed and stationary panels are covered against water leakage under our three-year limited warranty.
Frameless swinging and sliding doors, movable transoms and movable glass panels are not waterproof against direct spray at their openings. Leakage at these openings is not guaranteed against. Water can seep through hinges and joints, and a small amount may reach the bathroom floor as the door opens or closes.
Significant leakage may result from a curbless shower or a curb pitched backward. AFSD is not responsible for leakage caused by improper curb installation.

For excessive movement, shifting hardware, glass contact or abnormal operation, stop using the enclosure while you contact AFSD.
