Our Three-Year Warranty
At Affordable Frameless Shower Door Inc., we take pride in our craftsmanship, as well as the durability and quality of our frameless enclosures, offering a three-year warranty to provide you with assured peace of mind when you hire us for your project.
What We Cover
Glass Dynamics
It's important to understand that, due to the nature of frameless designs, a slight flex in the glass panels is normal and expected. This flexibility is intentionally designed to reduce stress on the glass, ensuring its longevity and safety. Rest assured, this characteristic does not compromise the enclosure’s strength or safety but rather indicates a well-engineered product built to withstand the rigors of daily use.
Our tempering plant follows the ASTM Standards (American Society for Testing and Materials). Tempered and Heat Treated glass is not as flat as Annealed glasses. The overall bow and warpage tolerances depend on such factors as glass thickness, width, length, and other variables. The larger the panel the more likely it will have a visible bow. If bowing or warpage occurs in your glass this is not considered a warranty or defected panel.

Hardware
Hardware Protection: Our warranty fully covers both the functionality and the finish of your hardware, ensuring it stays in top condition. However, it's important to note that hardware with a clear coated brass or copper finish are not covered under this warranty. This exclusion is due to the variation in water minerals from one region to another, which can lead to discoloration of these finishes over time. Additionally, using harsh or abrasive cleaning products on the hardware, regardless of its finish, is discouraged as it will void the warranty.
Maintenance
Seal and Glass Care: The caulking and silicone we use to secure the glass panels are guaranteed to maintain their seal, designed to keep water where it belongs. While frameless glass enclosures are relatively easy to maintain, they are not completely free from maintenance requirements. Issues such as mold, soap scum buildup, mildew, and bacteria growth are typically due to conditions within the home environment and, as such, fall outside our warranty coverage. Regular, gentle cleaning is encouraged to prevent these issues. Abrasive materials or cleaners should be avoided to prevent scratching the glass surfaces, as doing so will void the warranty.
Tile Considerations for Frameless Shower Enclosures:
Rarely, during and after the installation of a frameless enclosure, there might be incidents where tiles crack or break. These situations are generally the result of the tiles not being installed correctly. Should you encounter this issue, contacting your tile installer for repairs is advisable. Should you need your enclosure removed and reinstalled to address these tile issues, we offer this service tailored to the job's specific requirements.
It's important to note that, while glass tiles are visually appealing, they are not the most suitable choice for areas requiring support for frameless glass enclosures. Their fragile nature makes them prone to cracking or chipping during installation, and they may remain at risk even weeks after from the normal use of the enclosure. We are not responsible for glass tile breakage during or after the installation process.

Understanding Water Flow and Containment in Frameless Shower Enclosures:
Frameless shower enclosures provide a sleek and modern appearance. However, due to their design without a traditional frame, they may occasionally experience minor leakage. Often, such leakage can be attributed to incorrect installation of the shower's curb. It's important to understand that Affordable Frameless Shower Door Inc. is not responsible for issues arising from curb installations done by third parties, including any resulting water leakage.
Our warranty covers water leakage for fixed and stationary panels. However, it's essential to understand that frameless swinging or sliding doors, as well as movable transom panels, are not designed to be waterproof against direct streams of water. Therefore, leaks that occur on these movable panels are not covered under warranty. Recognizing this distinction is crucial for accurately setting expectations about the capabilities and inherent limitations of frameless shower units.
